Joseph is an award-winning director and theatre maker. He trained at East 15 Acting School’s Physical Theatre course at the University of Essex and since graduating with a first class honours degree has continued to train extensively with many of the world’s leading theatre professionals including Complicite, Gecko and The David Glass Ensemble.
His play ‘You must be the one to bury me’ won the 2015 Best of Festival award at the acclaimed International Youth Arts Festival and was selected by Battersea Arts Centre and The Guardian to represent the best of UK small scale touring theatre in the A Nation’s Theatre Festival.
He has extensive experience in drama education, and has developed a practice based in play and discovery of the ensemble which he has taught at some of the UK’s leading drama schools.
Briony trained as an actor in Manchester and then as a theatre-maker for two years at the prestigious École de Jacques Lecoq in Paris. She in Artistic Director of Created A Monster and a member of the David Glass Ensemble. As a performer she has worked with companies including the BBC, Vamos, Flabbergast Theatre, Making Faces Theatre, David Glass Ensemble, Gruff Theatre, JonLuke McKie, Aya, Babel, Arts for Action and Mark Bell (Dir. the Play That Goes Wrong). She trained in Butoh dance with Daisuke Yoshimoto at The Grotowski Institute, Wroclaw.
